A post about my now wife that I wrote after we got engaged

This is Susie.

That's not her legal name, but that's what I call her; and that's pretty much what everyone calls her. I call her Suse a lot.

I don't know what to say about her. I could say that she's smart [cause she is]. I could say that she's pretty [cause she's that, too]. I could say a bunch of cliché movie lines about her, and they'd probably be pretty much true.

But it doesn't really make much sense for me to describe her to you or explain why I like her so much - because the whole world and all of life are just part of a big, secret joke that only we know. And we're not trying to be jerks, but we understand it's a joke and we laugh about it in front of you by just looking at each other for a second.

And even though the institution of marriage had seemed to me [for a long time] to be not much more than a miserable clustercuss, she's got me seeing it very differently; and we're getting married in May.

Put simply, I want to be with her forever, and I feel like marriage will just make that more convenient + tax breaks + we're LDS, so if we get married in a temple, we get to go to this VIP section in heaven where only married Mormons are allowed.
